Saturday Programs
On the first Saturday of each month, the museum offers
fun, interactive and educational programming for children. These
programs encourage children to be creative and learn about the
past. Past programs include A Colonial Girls’ Day Out,
Pirates!, crocheting, and Gingerbread Day. Registration is required
for some programs, others are drop-in anytime. For more information,

Paper making Saturday, August 7, 1-3 p.m.
Kids and adults can learn to make paper. The cost per person is $12. Museum members cost is $10 per person. Children and adults are welcome to sign up. Registration is required and space is limited.
Paper Marbling: Saturday, September 4, 1-3 p.m.
Paper marbling is a centuries old art form. It was popular during the eighteenth century for binding and covering books. Participants will learn to marble paper and cover a book to take home with them. $12 per person, $10 for museum members. Children and adults are welcome. Registration is required and space is limited.
Noah’s Discovery Activity: Saturday, September 4, 1-4 p.m.
When Noah Webster taught school, “slates” or chalkboards were used instead of paper and pencils. You’ll learn how to write on a slate with a slate pencil just like Noah did when he was a child. $3 per child, or free with museum admission.
A Girls’ Day Out: Saturday, September 11, 10 a.m.-noon
Girls and their favorite doll are invited to a special day of fun at the Noah Webster House! They will have a tea party, play games, and make the game of graces and a set of homemade paper dolls! $17 per child, $15 for members. Girls age seven and over are invited. Registration is required by Thursday, September 9.
Kids’ First Saturday: Colonial Games: Saturday, October 2, 1-4 p.m.
Drop in to play some fun colonial games like Skittles, Fox & Geese, Graces, and hoop and stick. $5 per child.
Noah’s Discovery Activity: Saturday, November 6, 1-4 p.m.
Drop in and learn about historic quilts- even design your own! $3 per child, or free with museum admission.
